Meditation Instructor: Dao Malinowski

He was born in Poland and now he enjoys living in Taiwan.

Dao has been on the self discovery journey of yoga for 13 years. 3 years ago he did his Hatha Yoga Teacher training with one of the most respected contemporary Yoga teachers of India-Yogacharya Bharat Shetty in Mysore, south India.

He has been teaching yoga and meditation to students from different backgrounds, levels and ages in Nepal, France and now in Taiwan. Main styles he teaches are classical Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.

Dao is also working with the healing powers of the sound. He’s often doing sound healing with singing bowls, gongs, didgeridoo, flutes. As well he works with the vibrational power of the mantras – ancient mind protecting tools of the inner sound.

He is a follower of the non-sectarian path of Buddhist meditation, vegan chef (a.k.a ''Vegan Yoga Chef Dao''), passionate photographer and video-maker.

In his free time he likes to study holistic medical traditions of Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine,  depth psychology of C.G. Jung,  Tarot and I Ching and also the Shamanic Plant Medicine.

Through years of experience from practicing within different Buddhist traditions and also by learning from Indian wisdom traditions such as Hatha Yoga, Ayurveda and Advaita Vedanta, Dao is on the path of discovery of the body as the gateway towards psychosomatic integration  (literal meaning of the Sanskrit word ''Yoga'' is ''Union'').

He is deeply interested in sharing and exploring practices and yogic methods of embodied, grounded, somatic meditation, where the key point is to see the own body (''Soma''), as the sacred Other to whom we can trust and listen to for guidance.

Main source of inspiration for him are his teachers and their teachers: B. K. S. Iyengar, Yogacharya Bharat Shetty, Paul Grilley, Sarah Powers.

Sound Healing Instructor: Derrick

Derrick is currently one of the 400 members of the Global Gong Alliance.

In his college days, he experienced the collapse of his family, the betrayal from his loved one all on the same day. To him, the world suddenly became black and white, but it also led him towards the road of healing.

Derrick has been in contact with Inca shaman and Ayahuasca, and have also gone through various journeys of wellness which finally led him to learn about gongs.

Sound therapy can bring us ideological cleansing through its own vibration frequency. People will be able to  dig into the deep subconscious mind, or simply  relax and enjoy the endocrine balance that is stimulated by the vibration of the body.

Derrick participated in various activities such as a New Year's Eve gong banquet for a hundred people to help people wash away their accumulated troubles and pressure through the sound of gongs.

Gong Introduction

Gong bath through sound frequency modulation let us achieve the restoration and nourishment of our body, mind and soul.

The powerful vibration frequency resonates with the water in our body which helps us relax and lead our consciousness into a state of meditation.

With natural sound waves, we slowly cleanse our hearts.

Materials of no practical use, such as gloss, grass, Buddha statues, flowers, fragrances, sounds, yoga, along with other existence of spirituality, are employed as a healing process to convert the digital to the analog.
