*Holistic Retreats that offer a wide range of workshops with a holistic wellness approach, for example, Reiki, Xi-Gong, Ceramics, Sound Healing, Tea Ceremony and so on. Holistic Wellness emphasizes more on the connection with yourself.

*The retreat will proceed with a minimum of 5 attendees. If there are fewer than 5 attendees, we will notify you and issue a full refund one week before the retreat starts.

"But over these three days, I experienced that even without language, we can truly understand others and be understood." This is what the participants of the silent retreat said.

Language is so natural, yet it seems to make us overly reliant on it. We forget how to communicate with others and with ourselves through sincerity and genuine feeling.

We invite you to give yourself a gift of purity this early winter and explore your intentions. In the natural surroundings of Pingxi, there are no languages, no excessive distractions, not even identities, labels, or names, only "tranquility."

During this retreat, follow the guide's steps and try different ways of meditation: dynamic meditation, art therapy, morning walking meditation. Each guided session brings us back to tranquility without the need for words but through mindful awareness of your thoughts and heartbeat - allowing your body to release stress and anxiety.

We also practice adjusting breathing rhythms and vocalization, returning to the soft state of infancy when we first learned to speak, relearning and feeling "vocalization." Experience the collaboration between sound and body, practicing to bring yourself back to the current moment with every word spoken.

This retreat will bring some surprises: freedom has always been here, it just needs a timely reminder to return.

Meditation Instructor: April

During this retreat, April will guide us through practices of art therapy, incorporating both active and passive meditation infused with Ayurvedic wisdom. Through these practices aimed at perceiving the opening from within, she will lead us to bring awareness and tranquility back to the present moment in silence and allow us to experience a profound sense of serenity.

'' With Ayurveda’s wisdom, I will support you on a self discovery journey of finding your ultimate health and joy.''

April is a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT 500 and YACEP instructor in the domain of Ayurveda wellness and Yoga therapy, with over 13 years of yoga experience.
Her Ayurveda journey started with self-healing in 2016, where she benefited from Ayurveda to overcome her clinical depression, anxiety and her 15-year cigarette smoking habit. April started to practice Ayurveda and teach Ayurveda Yoga Therapy and offer Ayurveda consultation in Hong Kong.

In the autumn of 2022, April traveled to India to visit the Ayurvedic doctor she had admired and attend a detox teacher training course. This trip to India deeply moved her and further confirmed the healing benefits of Ayurveda. She found a way to integrate this ancient and beautiful way of life into modern life.

Through this inspiring journey, April aspires to become a guide to Ayurveda and promote Ayurvedic knowledge in various cities and countries, including Taiwan, to share with those in need.

Body and Sound Awakening Instructor: Eyes

During this retreat, Eyes will lead us through practices of writing, bodily movement, and vocalization, enabling us to perceive the changes unfolding from within in silence. This will allow us to reconnect with the link between our voices, bodies, and hearts, and rediscover ourselves.

“ You become an instructor not only to heal yourself, but to heal others too.”

As a student, Eyes questioned the essence of being a human, which led her on a journey of self discovery. Through sound, body, words and art, it allows us to see things using different perspectives. 

Slowly, you will be able to become an instructor that can heal others too.

As you look out the view from the window, the nature surrounds the house that is filled with cozy wooden furniture, you suddenly remember your youthful memories. Those times where happiness was simple and easy.

Two types of accommodation is provided:

Shared Room

Mixed Gender Shared Room/ Female Shared Room

  • Maximum of 4 people in a room, attendees of the same gender will be assigned in the same room.

  • All Room types include a Double Bed + Single Japanese Floor Mattress (Will be assigned randomly)

  • Attendees will share a double bed with another attendee of the same gender.

(Only One Room available, perfect for attendees coming in pair)

*Why is the accommodation shared? The purpose behind shared accommodation is to create closer bonds between the participants.

 
 

Nourish

 

In this retreat, Soul Barn Private Chef will cook Western Styled vegan meals that aim to break people’s stereotypes on vegan food through the ingredients and cooking method.

For this retreat, only whole-food ingredients are used because at Soul Barn, we want to provide a healthy and balanced diet for everyone.

In the silence, gently sway your body, releasing the emotions and energy hidden deep within your body and mind.

  • Awakening: The Power of Voice

Through guidance on “voicing”. feel the power that sound brings to your body.  

  • Morning Guided Meditation

We’ll practice Vipassana walking and sitting meditation and ending with a Metta meditation as the end of this retreat.

Cancellations made 14 days or more in advance of the event date will receive a 100% refund.

Cancellations made between 2 - 13 days of the event will receive a 70% refund.

Cancellations made within 2 days of the event will receive a 50% refund.

Cancellations made on the day of the event or during the event are non-refundable unless an emergency occurred and is provided with proof.

However, the booking can be transferred to a different person if you’re unable to attend.
